Jennifer Pahl Every cat I've ever had for my whole life has been declawed...including the 2 I have now...and every single one has not walked funny, has not had turned in feet, has not pissed on my stuff, has not resorted to biting, or had behavioral issues and dont walk around crying in pain. Elephant Christmas Light Sweatshirt. they've all lived to old ages and have been very sweet cats that love me to the moon...and...have never ruined my furniture...Not saying some things dont happen to some cats if say the procedure isn't done right but in my 38 years of having cats, we've had 0 problems...I'd rather see cats get adopted and declawed than homeless or dead...so I'm with you...I won't have an animal ruining my stuff...a lot of houses that I've seen where people let their animals destroy their house and furniture, are usually dirty nasty houses. Elephant Christmas Light Sweatshirt.  Here's an idea... Why don't you adopt an already declawed cat and potentially save their life? Your furniture will be saved, and you'll be able to enjoy the company of a cat again.


Took my cat to the shelter because he kept scratching my 1-year-old human baby. It was tough but the right choice, I called a month later to see if he had been adopted and he was still in the shelter. Called a month later after that and found out he was euthanized. Moral of the story: declaw your cat if necessary and don't be scared by what others think of you if you do it. Declawing should be banned. Pets should be researched before buying. Owners need training on how to care for, train, and live with pets, especially around children. 
Declawing is cruel, if you think you should do it, then you should not own a cat.

If they need to climb up trees they can, but then again, I’ve never seen a cat in constant pain because of Being de-clawed.
