And I Think To Myself What A Wonderful World Shirt
I would rather buy new furniture than to declaw my cats. But I don't have to do that, my leather furniture survives because I choose to take my time with the cats to teach them. Maybe people need to realize a pet isn't a fashionable accessory and demands time. If you prefer to spend some cash to declaw them instead of teaching your furry friend, then I surely hope you don't reproduce. Took my cat to the shelter because he kept scratching my 1-year-old human baby. It was tough but the right choice, I called a month later to see if he had been adopted and he was still in the shelter. Called a month later after that and found out he was euthanized. Moral of the story: declaw your cat if necessary and don't be scared by what others think of you if you do it. And I Think To Myself What A Wonderful World Shirt. All we had to do was yell at my cat a few times and he learned the bed and coach arent for scratching. The only time I've ever had a problem with cats scratching furniture was at my dad's house because they didn't do anything to stop the cat or offer him an alternative. They let him use the coach as a scratching post. Mine has a HUGE 6 ft cat tree and I let them claw on cardboard boxes. Never had issues with them, one of them scratched the wall before we got the tree but the tree fixed the issue. And I Think To Myself What A Wonderful World Shirt. They say cats pick their owner. If your cat bites, scratches or hisses at you then you may not be the one for them...if they are scratching up your furniture, they may be stressed or frustrated. I do not punish my cats but they know “no” in a disapproving voice means something. I am not an expert but have had cats for over 40 years and this is what I have learned.
I agree with you that cats with scratch pads and ways to play are the happiest. We have six cats - three Bombay, one long hair and two tabbies. One was adopted when his family left, another meowed outside of my bedroom door and never left, and the Bombay’s were litters left in my house by a feral cat (they have all been fixed but never declawed). We have cat doors and a jungle of a backyard so they are very active in chasing each other through the apple trees, come when called and most sleep inside. The Bombays are not big shedders and since birth have been handled, lovingly cared for and are gluttons for attention.
