Years ago I had a male and female that had a litter of kittens and from the time Smokie Lynn went into labor Scrappy was there licking her head and giving her comfort, he was always involved with the litter as well, he helped her clean each of the four kittens as they were born, and he helped with. Cat Purrr Me Tequila Shirt. the youngest who was born with a back injury and could never use her back legs properly, he would get her on her back and get her rabbit punching to exercise those back legs! I get that it's a hot spot (pun intended), but most of the show people I know, (and yes, I have them in the family) actually believe the bullshit about the AKC preserving the "best of the breed." Tell that to the pugs that can't breathe, or the bulldogs that can't give birth without a C-section. The entire AKC show sham is a load of crap to please the owners. It has nothing to do with preserving what's best for the animal. And by the way, you brought it up -- that opens the door for questions. I also have a daughter who's a veterinarian. Trust me, she's got a very different idea about the damage the AKC breed specifications have done to animals.
