If my husband would let me I would foster dogs. We have a Yorkie, he is a hand full. My husband didn't want a dog, so he's been mad for a year. Finally, he loves that dog. It's been a long year. Apollo is so good and so smart. Was so easy to train. Just saying. This is our rescue pup. Let me tell you, she is the most caring and loving dog I have ever had. When I get yo at night she uncovers herself and stays by my side until I am safely back in bed. She is so spoiled rotten but she deserves this life. Love these stories of such loving people giving their hearts to the wonderful pets that need a good life that's been thru so much. Missing link shirt. This is Leonidas....he was going to go to a shelter because his owner was downsizing into a smaller apartment. A client of mine told me about him. I couldn’t stand to see him go to a shelter, so I took him In at 9 months old. He is now 4 and will be 5 in November. Leonidas (Leo for short) has been the best thing that has ever happen to my little family. He is the most loving, sweet docile dog I have ever met. He has so much personality as you can tell by my photo. Pittie’s are such amazing dogs. My heart is overflowing with love right now. Thank you so much for rescuing and loving this beautiful little girl. What a difference you made in her life! If I had the money, I would rescue every one of them. I am a little afraid of pit bulls currently! I have always loved them..until last week. A pit bull attacked me...and the owner ran off! He did not want to let go..and he has literally scared me! I had to have 9 shots the first day..5 thereafter..missed work, and am a little traumatized!! There is a law against them In DC..and I just cannot help but being a little terrified. We just had to put our 15-year-old baby girl down. I saved her from being taken to the pound at 4 months old. Totally unplanned! She gave us the best, craziest, most loving 15 years! We lost her on Monday

If they need to climb up trees they can, but then again, I’ve never seen a cat in constant pain because of Being de-clawed. I think that if you get it done by a vet with experience and with a passion for these animals, they’ll do it in a way that hurts them the least in terms of long-term health.  A friend told me the story of someone they knew who had to make a decision whether or not to declaw their cat or give them antibiotics for the rest of their cat's life because it had some kind of

The store clerk said I should consider declawing as she did on her cat. I said no it's very cruel and damaging operation on cats. Her response was "oh I found a very good vet to do it for mine". Amputation is amputation no matter how expensive your vets charge you.  Andrea McHugh well it's still legal in many parts of North America. I didn't report it and I certainly should have done more to let her know why it's so inappropriate. That day I was just shocked and left without confronting her further.  Cats have claws and they will scratch if you can't handle that they don't get a cat.
