I'm sure the owners didn't mean to harm the dog. But if they were providing regular veterinary care, the vet must have told them how bad this was for his health. I've seen a lot of younger owners let their dogs get obese too. There are plenty of older folks who are responsible pet owners. Being elderly isn't necessarily a good excuse unless they suffered from cognitive decline. And yet if Obie were human he would be put on the front of Cosmopolitan magazine and everyone would be cheering for him to not change a thing and love himself exactly the way he is smh. It's sad that people see the dangers and sadness obesity brings to animals but are trying to glorify it for humans. Chillin' Like A Villain Halloween Shirt. Not even close to the same thing. This dog is obese to the point that he can’t walk or function. I have never seen a human that size in a magazine. The only time I’ve even seen them represented on television is in the show My 600lb Life which is all about how it negatively affects their lives and losing the weight. Girl gets over yourself and your issues with fat people because something inside your mind is just as unhealthy as obesity. Obesity is obesity. And it does make it harder for people to walk/function. It is an unnecessary strain on the body. We shouldn't say it's okay just because someone hasn't reached the point of being bedridden.

Alese Haymore Nielsen that’s exactly what I have tried to say to people. They think allowing animals to be fat is animals abuse. but they abuse themselves and cry how other people body shames them. I don’t get it. They might still be able to walk and do things now but if they don’t change their unhealthy lifestyle and diet, they will be like that poor dog or worse. Obesity is obesity. Jess Honeybee Caldera, she doesn’t hate anyone. She is giving a fact. Also, nobody should have any celebrity as their role model.

If they need to climb up trees they can, but then again, I’ve never seen a cat in constant pain because of Being de-clawed. I think that if you get it done by a vet with experience and with a passion for these animals, they’ll do it in a way that hurts them the least in terms of long-term health.  A friend told me the story of someone they knew who had to make a decision whether or not to declaw their cat or give them antibiotics for the rest of their cat's life because it had some kind of

The store clerk said I should consider declawing as she did on her cat. I said no it's very cruel and damaging operation on cats. Her response was "oh I found a very good vet to do it for mine".
