I wonder where his 3 siblings ended up? I was a jr. high life science teacher and I used to love to tell my students about armadillo litters: always 4, all boys or all girls- identical quadruplets! One egg that divides into 4 babies, whereas other litter animals have various eggs fertilized by various sperms. Even their armor plating patterns are the same for all 4! Hope Y'all find that interesting. My son found a crippled baby in his yard surrounded and being protected by his 4 large dogs. When her eyes open she was blind. She is living the life of a queen with 5 male dogs that love her. My dear, sweet husband who passed away in Jan. 2016, was a lover of armadillos. He even made up a “call” for them! It was the funniest sound you ever heard. He must have had at least several dozen collectible armadillos on a bookcase in his (home) office. I gave him the picture shown here as a gift years ago and it was hanging in his office. We are not from Texas, but he was raised in Northeast FL. Plenty of them around there, too. Let’s just say my husband liked anything out of the ordinary! He was a very special person to a lot of people.

If they need to climb up trees they can, but then again, I’ve never seen a cat in constant pain because of Being de-clawed. I think that if you get it done by a vet with experience and with a passion for these animals, they’ll do it in a way that hurts them the least in terms of long-term health.  A friend told me the story of someone they knew who had to make a decision whether or not to declaw their cat or give them antibiotics for the rest of their cat's life because it had some kind of
