A great big Water Pillar Shirt jacket cat he was and ended up being my husband's cat. Sadly lost to kidney failure but such a character. We have a bedroom under the stairs for our dog too! We had a little Harry Potter styled closet under the stairs and we took the door off and the floor was like the kitchen floor so easy cleanup. If they need to climb up trees they can, but then again, I’ve never seen a cat in constant pain because of Being de-clawed.
